Steinstuecken...and Berlin...Remember the Americans

Although it's been 30 years since the fall of the Berlin Wall and the reunification of Germany, the people of Berlin...and especially the people of Steinstuecken...remember the Americans who kept them safe and free for decades. The helicopter playset is still in the village, maintained and recently refurbished by residents. Next to the playset is a memorial to the "Lueftbruecke" (helicopter airlift), two Huey main rotor blades on a pedestal. The residents of Steinstuecken and the city of Berlin maintain this memorial.
